A porn actor (or porn actress, also a porn star) is a participant (or participant) in pornographic films or photographs, live sexual screenings or peep shows.
Some [what?] jurisdictions view commercial pornography as a form of prostitution, although most actors in erotic and pornographic films do not consider it prostitution for various reasons. One of the reasons is that usually performers are paid not by their sexual partners, but by studios. However, some[who? porn actresses combine their craft with prostitution and have problems with the law.
Many porn actresses started their careers in striptease (Veronica Avluv, Brooke Haven, Lisa Ann, Julie Knight, Zoe Britton, Brittany O’Connell, Annette Haven) or as a fashion model (Anetta Keys, Nikki Rhodes, Gianna Michaels, Taylor Wayne).
Some porn actresses choose a taboo in the porn business. Some are filmed only in light porn: scenes of masturbation, lesbianism or only with a well-known person (Raquel Darrian), but they completely deny “hardcore porn”: scenes with elements of BDSM, anal (Faye Reagan), oral and group sex (Karin Schubert). Others, on the contrary, specialize only in hardcore porn (Dani Daniels, Ellen Saint, Carmella Bing, Memphis Monroe, Laura Angel, Jane Darling, Nikita Deniz, Monica Matos).
The most common danger for porn actors is the risk of contracting sexually transmitted diseases (Kira Kener, Nadia Styles), and retroviruses, including AIDS (Karen Dior, Tricia Devereux, John Stagliano)
